Where it all started
85mil was created in late 2021 when my friend Jose and I were still working independently. We were both working gigs and trying to get our names out there when we realized the potential in being a team that could take on big events. We bid our time, gaining more experience and a larger clientele while getting logistics in order. At the beginning of 2023 we launched our website and Instagram to promote our work. That's also around the time our newest member and old friend, Rudy, joined us. What sets us apart is our interactions with our clients. People often see photos as a drag or a daunting experience, but with us it's fun. Every step of the way we are there to help you get over your lack of confidence or answer questions you may have. At the end of an event we will usually joke about how we messed around more than we worked because of our easygoing nature. I find this to be the part I am most proud of in our company. It's a true skill to be able to connect and bond with a client because at the end of the day we all want the same thing: beautiful, uncontrived and high quality photographs that hold a priceless value. Having that trust between the client and us allows for all parties to be themselves; without compromise.

I love what I do, everyday and all the time. Photography has been a lifelong endeavor for me, but I only started taking it seriously in 2017. From being a staff writer/photographer to part owner of 85mil, there isn't a day that this feels like work.

Photography for me has always been about capturing peoples essence, being someone who gets alot of his inspiration from music. Whenever I shoot with a subject I always want to think about what song is playing in the background that puts the subject, colors, and vibe all together.

Hi! I’m Rudy! I began photography in 2018, it simply started as a hobby but quickly grew into business once I had an epiphany with what I could create. I started with nature and landscape photography and once I was comfortable with my skills, I realized that I wanted to learn more and see what was out there for me. Once I found a style that I was satisfied with, I began to take photos for friends and family which ultimately led me to wanting to pursue this even more.
